Booking Conditions

Prices: Charges are reviewed on the 1st October each year. Any advanced booking will be adjusted to prices applicable at the date of use (not the date of booking). All cheques should be made payable to "Merseyside County Scout Council". Balance due by 16:00hrs on the Saturday of the camp.

Site Opening: The site is open from 6pm (18:00) on Friday evenings until 4pm (16:00) on Sunday afternoons during term time. During school holidays opening at other times is possible by arrangement with the Site Manager.

Provisional Bookings: No booking will be confirmed until a required depsoit has been received.

Deposits & Payments: One nights charge for buildings are required, as well as the £10 for campers. Please ensure all deposits are to sent to Merseyside Scouts HQ. Tea factory, spaces 301, 82 Wood Street, Liverpool L1 4DQ

Cancellation: Cancellation within 8 weeks of the booking will result in the loss of deposit.

Child Protection Code of Practice: Tawd Vale is a Scout Campsite and as such all users must abide by the Scout Association's Child Protection Code of Practice. This code is contained in the Young People First card (the yellow card). In particular it must be understood that any contravention of the Code of Practice could lead to The Scout Association initiating its own reporting and referral procedures. If your organisation has a Child Protection Policy please supply us with a copy. By completing the form below you are confirming that you agree to these conditions.

Insurance: The campsite is covered by third party liability insurance. Members of The Scout Association and non-members taking part in activities provided by The Scout Association, are covered by insurance for the activities they undertake, in line with The Scout Association’s Policy, Organisation and Roles. If you are a non-Scout organisation, you must ensure you are adequately covered by insurance for the activities you are delivering. If you are a non-Scout organisation, you are confirming you accept these conditions when completing the form below.

Group behaviour: This is the responsibility of the group leadership team. Campers not showing respect for other campers may be asked to leave the site and it will be the responsibility of the leaders to arrange for campers to leave. It is expected that there will be quiet between 23:00 and 07:30.

Vehicles: Vehicles and contents are left entirely at the owners risk. All vehicles must be parked in the designated car parks unless otherwise instructed by camp staff.

 

Arrival and Departure

Arrival: The site is open from 18:00 on a Friday. Please do not arrive before this time as our Volunteer Staff will not be on site.

On arrivale please report to Reception. No campers should go on site without the knowledge of the duty staff. If your group is being brought to the site by parents then the young people must be met by leaders at Reception. Visitor's cars must be parked in the Main Car Park.

Departure: It is expected that all campers will have left the site by 16:00 on a Sunday to allow our Volunteer Staff to clean and close the site. Young people should be escorted back to the Main Car Park at the end of the weekend. Adults should not come to campsites to meet young people. This is a Child Protection issue.

Arrival and departure for week camps is by arrangement with the Site Manager.
